Give it up, yo…

I’ve read that self-sacrifice is the only way to truly know yourself….

Have you found this to be true?

I think of parents sacrificing their time, not just their free time, to clean up vomit for their sick child. I think of Britney Spears sacrificing her privacy and her innocence to understand that she really values it. I think of CEOs who get caught up in schemes that go deeper than they ever wanted or imagined before they get caught and realize that the money was never what they wanted anyway.

What do you think of?

What have you sacrificed lately?

Evan, I like this blog.
I think one thing I try to sacrifice daily is my “coolness”. I find it a rarity that people tak openly about Christ. And it has been like a downer. Like if your too open about your faith it makes you less cool. SO I try to speak openly about my faith to believers and non believers. Does it mater if it ruins my rep @ school, (not that im like the coolest person in the world),lol, but I think its something worth sacrificing. For me, its worth putting out the effort, because you EVER KNOW when it will be worth it one day , ya know?

Besides, youll always think im cool…right?

Coolness fades… quickly. God didn’t make us to be cool, fortunately. We were made with purpose.
