Questions for you to eat….

If I were you (and I’m not), here are some questions I would ask myself re:anything important….

•Is the the best I can do?
•Is there someone else I can involve?
•What are my motives?
•How can I get my point across clearly?
•How will someone be motivated by this?
•How could this have any unintentional undesired side effects?
•Where is my time best spent?
•Who am I seeking to make famous?
•How will this distract me?
•Where will this take me?
•What will I learn from this?
•How could I share this with others?
•How do others see me? (not in the ’self-esteem’ sense, but in the ‘I-need-to-live-in-community-with-others’ sense)
•How will this hurt or help….me or others?

Just a few questions.

Hey Evan – seems like it’s been a little while since I’ve come over here. Your point about motivations especially struck me. I don’t believe I had ever asked myself ‘why am I doing this.’ My wife asks me that all the time, however. At first I really wasn’t sure how to answer such a question. But it is valid. The ends (motive) doesn’t justify the means, and vice verse.

Thanks, Matt. I believe that motivation is often key. Sure there is a matter of what we actually accomplish or don’t, but the fuel that drives us has to be pure. We’ll break down otherwise.
