Lindyjb,
Thanks for commenting! There are so many cool ways that we have yet to use Twitter and other social media. It's going to be incredible to watch the next 6 months to see what happens!!

Eddie, thanks for commenting! this is a concern, but I would say that the actual benefits outweigh the negatives... It seems to be a self-control issue. We must take control of how much info we actually allow in. Thanks again.

Some great ideas for twitter uses, but I worry about dealing with information overload!

Hi Evan! I know that Twitter keeps getting good press - so I might sound like someone on the bandwagon - but I really believe Twitter has the potential to build community in its own little micro-blogging way. Your post made me think of how libraries are using Twitter to create community. I've done a little bit of research on how libraries are using Twitter and I've seen how it has created opportunities socially and professionally for libraries. On a personal level, I know it has created wonderful opportunities for me to connect with and learn from other professionals in my fields of interest (libraries and student affairs in higher education).

lindyjb’s last blog post..Other blogs to check out (from LISNews)
