Isn’t this your greatest fear?

Canadian extreme skier and base jumper, Shane McConkey, died Thursday following a ski-base accident that ocurred while filming his latest movie in Italy, the Inquisitr reported.

McConkey, 39, experienced problems in the air after jumping off of a cliff in the expectation that he would be able to detach his skis and deploy his parachute, thus enabling him to glide safely to the ground, according to the Inquisitr.

I mean come on…. isn’t this what you are fearful of? Dying an awkwardly unforeseeable death after taking a huge risk. This is what holds us back from risk. I’m not saying to jump off a cliff with skis and a parachute. I’m just saying… it’s what most of us are afraid of…. (perhaps this is a metaphor….)

He took the risk. No matter the outcome.
How would your life change if you didn’t fear plummeting?

Ohhh, uuuhhhh…. I feel this way with my writing. I *know* I’m a good writer, but I’ve been afraid to write anything substantial for a long time – anything that wasn’t a news story or an assigned feature for work – because I’m so scared I’ll plummet, or, more specifically, that it will suck.
