Calling Your Bluff

womaneyes

What if others could see through my front?

I wonder what they would do if they saw the real me. Dirty. Complicated. Selfish. An imperfection perfected by God. An incompletion completed by God.

We’re scared to admit that we often fake it. We fear condemnation, embarrassment, and the pivotal moment of recognition that we must change or be wasted.

Here’s a secret: people see through everything you fake. Your facade. They can see everything that is hidden underneath your makeup.

What do they see?

I can't articulate my thoughts eloquently enough to express my agreement.

^and that right there, could be perceived as being pretentious… haa

People say “be true to thyne self”, some get it tattooed on the back of their neck. But it is not easy to find out who you really are. Where do the masks come from? Insecurity. Pride. Whatever else. I think my pride manifested in many "false self’s" as they say. Regardless, I lost myself. Maybe it was part of the plan…
I had sung songs of worship such as "brokenness is what I long for."
Pffft, did I ever really long for brokenness? Probably not, but I found it anyways. Dissipated until it was just me.

Who am I? I am Gods. That's all that ever matters. Some of us have to learn the hard way. Some of us are so prideful, stubborn, double minded, and fake that nothing will work than to see things after the fall. To experience brokenness. So that worship song I had so often sung, can actually held truth.

So, take my heart and form it.
Take my mind and transform it.
Take my will and conform it.
To Yours, to Yours, oh, Lord.

" I'll say it again 'Don't assume you are the good soil' " from profile of the Lukewarm.

I felt so hopeless reading that.

Last night, I saw a commercial on television about seeding your lawn during the fall. The man in the commercial was basically saying, contrary to popular believe, the fall is the ideal time to seed your lawn. This woman came on and the words she spoke hit me in the face. "During the fall, it is the best time to plant the seeds, because that is when the roots crave the nutrients most." So simple. SO true…

And what comes before the fall? (Not summer, that is.)

Change or be wasted, you’re exactly right, what are we waiting for?

Give up your life, for His sake. You find out who you truly are. You are not your own
