If you’re message isn’t stepping on a few toes, perhaps your vision isn’t large enough. Big dreams step on people’s toes. Outside of the box ideas step on toes.

Those who hate change, really can’t stand it when someone with a vast vision of the future comes in and starts messing with their methods. My pastor and I have great conversations about the future. He understands that his vision for the future of the church will step on a few toes. He is okay with that. He has to be. He has taught me that it’s okay for your message to step on toes rather than sacrificing your vision.

This doesn’t mean that we purposely step on toes to tick people off or play some sort of game. Any big idea will step on people’s status quo toes. Are you the person with the status quo toes or are you the one with the message that is stretching people’s boundaries?

Crazy few weeks….haven’t been a good enough blogger. :-)

    • Last weekend, I took Heath to the mountains for our two year anniversary weekend. Yeah, I know I was a month early. :-) Too anxious. Couldn’t wait! (We save all of our loose change each year to do something cool for our anniversary!)
    • JP and JS went to Catalyst last week. This conference is incredible from what I understand. I will be there, for sure, next year.
    • I am applying at Starbucks right now. I want to work for a few hours a week in order to save for my future kids :-) BUT most of all to reach out to the people there. Much of our church has connected there. Figured I would hop on the wave and get some free coffee while I was at it. :-)
    • Wondering if now is an incredible time to buy stocks?
    • Josh Parrish brought it this week once again!! Didn’t say anything too controversial? I need to relisten to it. :-) haha
    • Check out pictures of the new stage setup!

    • getting back in the swing of things after a week or so of blahness.
